Howard 100 News reporter Steve Langford will be on the scene today as Captain Janks goes before a judge. A plea deal might keep Janks out of jail if he agrees to pay back his victims and keep his nose clean. Janks apparently spent his weekend making prank calls and leaving Langford two dozen voicemail messages. Stay tuned for updates.
After his legal debate with the King of All Media last week, Benjy Bronk had the chance to continue his arguments on the Constitution with legal scholar and Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz. Howard 100 News brought the two together to clairfy Benjy's beliefs. Dershowitz agreed with Howard that the Constitution says blacks are 3/5 of a person, but Benjy continued to disagree. After a 10-minute debate, Alan Dershowitz closed by telling Howard 100 News that "Benjy is a great debater and he should come to law school."
Daniel Carver Jr is still behind bars 4 months after his arrest. Carver Jr’s lawyer told a federal judge “Daddy Carver and his mama are not going to tolerate anything less than excellent behavior from their son.” But the judge not buying that argument and chose to keep the Wack Packer’s son in jail pending trial on federal drugs and weapons charges.
Acclaimed public radio host Ira Glass says he’s been a Stern fan since the DC 101 days three decades ago. Just how big a fan he is becoming painfully clear when Glass posed a question to Howard 100 News reporter Steve Langford, asking who else would handle the story better… Lisa G or Shuli.
Howard 100 News spoke to "Swap Shop" host Larry J. Smith of 92.7 The Wave in south central Kentucky. Smith got so heated after accusations that he was selling stolen goods - he exclaimed "I ain't selling nothing." Larry told reporter Lisa G he had no clue he was being pranked until his audience informed him, and says he could've done better on his grammar. Larry says he's spent 33 years in radio, "but being on the Stern Show has been an honor."
Sal Governale spent Friday morning in a hospital emergency room where his wife was being treated. Christine got checked out after her hands appeared blue for an extended period of time. Doctors told her she suffered from Raynaud disease, which can be a result of being out in the cold, chemical use, and stress. The affliction can come and go and there was no need for Christine to take any medication.
