Ringo Starr Brings the ‘Peace and Love’ in New Birthday Benefit Announcement Video
One lucky fan will win the chance to join the Beatles drummer at a special brunch
Ringo Starr turns 77 on July 7th and in honor of his birthday, the Beatles drummer has teamed with Omaze to host one lucky fan at a brunch and “peace and love event” to benefit The Peace & Love Fund at The David Lynch Foundation, which seeks to heal trauma and stress through Transcendental Meditation.
The same fervor for “peace and love” exhibited in his now-famous 2008 “no more fan mail” video was on full display as he flashed 11 separate peace symbols with his fingers throughout the course of the new campaign announcement. Rest assured, you don’t have to even win in order to participate. Ringo reminded fans that “everyone, everywhere” is invited to say “peace and love” at noon local time on July 7th, whether they are in the factory, on the bus, at the brunch, or sitting at home.
Starr is currently working on his 19th solo LP, a follow-up to 2015’s “Postcards From Paradise,” and has enlisted the help of his former bandmate, Sir Paul McCartney.
