A caller phoned in to ask Howard how he felt about Bubba the Love Sponge’s recent admission that he tried to tamper with the Nielsen ratings by allegedly colluding with the people meters. Howard said he didn’t know very much about what happened, but he wished the best for Bubba.
In his early days in radio, Howard remembered his program director telling him to hang up on anyone who asked about the ratings to avoid getting in trouble. He thought that was good advice.
