Throughout the show, Howard talked about being a guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday while the show is on location in Brooklyn. Getting to Jimmy’s show might be an issue, however, as all bridges and tunnels connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn are currently closed.
“Jimmy won’t let me off the hook … Am I supposed to be on standby all day?” Howard wondered on the air.
Jimmy called in to express his hope that crossing the river wouldn’t be a problem later. Howard said he’d try, “but it could take me hours. [And] really, why are we doing it?”
Ronnie then came in to report a tentative escort arrangement “with a badge,” which significantly brightened Jimmy’s mood.
“We can heal the city together,” Jimmy said with a laugh.
