Jon Hein Meets the Fonz

Late in the show, Jon Hein told Howard about meeting Henry ‘The Fonz’ Winkler when he stopped by yesterday’s Wrap-Up Show, a big moment for the man who coined the phrase ‘Jump the Shark’ after an infamous Fonz stunt on Happy Days: “It was very surreal and I wasn’t sure how he was going to treat me–when we met–but I was thankful to him for doing what he did. Because it meant good things for me.” Howard honored the moment by playing a clip of Henry telling Jon that he appreciated the phrase, because any print mention of ‘Jump the Shark’ as a concept was usually illustrated with an image of The Fonz on the infamous water-skis: “And at that time, I had great legs.”
