Gary and Robin Are Civic Leaders

After Howard noted that Gary’s interview for a Parks & Rec board position was tonight, Gary tried to deflect by asking Robin about her own civic efforts: “What are you getting involved in?”

Robin said she also had a meeting tonight: with Newark, NJ mayor Cory Booker. Cory had to bump the meeting until a later date, but Robin had high hopes for their partnership: “I’m getting involved in Newark, New Jersey and the education of the kids.”

Howard’s attention remained on Gary, however, who said his interview was a public event: “It’s an open meeting.”

Still, few people are expected to attend: “So far as I know, the only people that are going to be there are the board members, me and [Steve] Langford.”
