Simon Cowell Wants to Talk

Howard said he’d recently gotten a message from Simon Cowell saying that the soon-to-be-former-Idol-Judge wants to talk to him on the phone, he added that Beth thought it must be about a judging gig Simon’s new show, ‘The X Factor.’

But Howard didn’t think so—speculating that Simon just wanted to apologize for telling the press that Howard wasn’t a credible ‘American Idol’ replacement: “I really don’t think I have any credibility and neither does he…he doesn’t have anything to worry about with me. I have nothing against him.”

Howard felt the opposite about Ellen Degeneres and addressed her directly: “For $100 million I’d work with you, but it doesn’t matter whether you’re there or not.”
