VIDEO: Lady Gaga Is Hungry for Power in 'House of Gucci' Trailer

One family’s fashion empire turns into a fatal tragedy in the first trailer for the true-crime film “House of Gucci.” An espresso-sipping Lady Gaga stars as Patrizia Reggiani, the power-hungry wife of Maurizio Gucci, played by Adam Driver. The Italian couple seem to have it all—lavish ski vacations, luxury sports cars, and a last name that carries incredible clout. But fame and fortune often comes at a price and before long the Guccis not only betray each other, they hire a hitman to take one another out.

While Gaga and Driver serve some serious ‘90s looks in the movie, it’s co-star Jared Leto that truly disappears into his character thanks to a face full of prosthetics that render him unrecognizable as Paolo Gucci, the former vice president of the fashion line. Al Pacino, Salma Hayek, and Jeremy Irons round out the main cast, all of whom have either won or been nominated in the past for Oscars. And with four-time Academy Award nominee Ridley Scott as its director, the film has instantly become one of the buzziest of the upcoming awards season.

When Lady Gaga stopped by the Stern Show in 2016, she talked to Howard about some of her other acting turns including in “A Star Is Born,” on “American Horror Story,” and even her small cameo on “The Sopranos.” Check out the clip (below).
