VIDEO: Gary Dell’Abate’s Miami Bike Ride Annoys Howard

When Stern Show executive producer Gary Dell’Abate revealed the in-depth preparations to ensure the string of Miami broadcasts would go on without a hitch, he had no idea the chain reaction it would set off. “We just want you to be happy, and a lot of making you happy is guessing, so there were a lot of rehearsals this weekend,” he told Howard on Monday morning.

“You know what annoys me? People rehearsing to see what makes me happy,” Howard responded before admitting the impossible position his producer is in. “Gary does nothing wrong, but everything he does is wrong.”

But, in addition to the hour-long walk Gary took the day before, it was the electric bike ride he took with some staffers that really rocked the boat. “Even hearing Gary was like going on a bike ride yesterday, I’m like, ‘Fuck you, Gary,’” Howard confessed. “He didn’t do anything wrong — it just annoys me.”

“We got the bikes at the hotel, so we were like, ‘We’re going to get some exercise,’” Gary explained before confessing he was on autopilot. “We get the bikes out and then we start peddling and we go, ‘These are electric bikes.’”

“What a waste of time,” Howard shot back before expanding on his frustration. “He’s not that busy — see, that’s what annoys me.”

“He’s busy avoiding work,” staffer and notorious Gary tormenter Sal Governale said with a laugh.
