VIDEO: David Crosby Opens Up About Music, His Mortality, Heroin, and the Breakup of CSNY in ‘Remember My Name’ Trailer
Cameron Crowe-produced rock doc arrives July 19

David Crosby—a founding member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young—looks back at his own life in the official trailer for the upcoming rock documentary “David Crosby: Remember My Name.”
Directed by A.J. Eaton and produced by Cameron Crowe, the film blends candid Crosby interviews with later-in-life concert performances, historical footage from the 1960s, and recent interviews with many of those in his orbit, including fellow Stern Show veteran Graham Nash.
“All the guys that I made music with won’t even talk to me,” Crosby laments at one point in the trailer. “All of them.”
Despite being 77 and enduring three heart attacks, the trailer paints David as someone who keeps on keeping on in part because of his continued passion for music. The two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer opens up to the cameras about everything from what it’s like doing heroin for the first time to the origins of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young’s tune “Our House,” which Nash performed on piano during a 2016 Stern Show visit.
Crosby has attempted to reconcile with his old bandmates before. As Stern Show fans may remember, he tried brokering peace with Young during a 2015 visit to the Stern Show in which David apologized for past comments about Neil’s then-girlfriend Daryl Hannah. “I’ll tell you the truth about that,” Crosby told Howard. “I screwed up. I shot my mouth off when I shouldn’t have.”
