VIDEO: Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and Margot Robbie Play Embattled Fox News Broadcasters in Official 'Bombshell' Trailer

Blondes don’t seem to be having more fun in “Bombshell,” Charlize Theron, Margot Robbie, and Nicole Kidman’s darkly comedic dramatization of the real-life sexual impropriety scandals which plagued the Fox News Channel.

The official trailer, set to recent Stern Show guest Billie Eilish’s hit song “Bad Guy,” begins with a producer (“Saturday Night Live’s” Kate McKinnon) showing an aspiring journalist (Margot Robbie) around the bullpen. “You have to adopt the mentality of an Irish street cop—the world is a bad place, people are lazy morons, minorities are criminals, sex is sick but interesting,” McKinnon tells her. “Ask yourself what would scare my grandmother or piss off my grandfather, and that’s a Fox story.

“Oh, that makes so much sense,” Robbie replies.

The film then follows Robbie’s character and broadcasters Megyn Kelly (Theron) and Gretchen Carlson (Kidman) as they descend down the rabbit hole of harassment, coercion, Presidential jabs, and all manner of misconduct from the news channel’s architect, Roger Ailes (John Lithgow).

Charlize serves as a co-producer on “Bombshell,” which Jay Roach (“All the Way”) directed. The film also features Allison Janney, Connie Britton, Mark Duplass, Rob Delaney, and Malcolm McDowell. Stern Show fans will remember she also had plenty to say about the film during her and Seth Rogen’s joint sit-down with Howard earlier this year. The Oscar-winning actress revealed she hadn’t met with Kelly before shooting the film, though she still did her best to portray the TV star as honestly as possible.

“I’m conflicted about her, but I also think that makes for a great human being. I mean, people are conflicted about me … I think people have issues with some of my shit,” Charlize told Howard. Check out a clip from her most recent Stern Show visit (below).
