Iconic blues musician Joe Bonamassa brought his band by the
Stern Show studio recently to lay down a couple tracks for Howard and his
listeners. Together they delivered a rip-roaring rendition of “Well, Well”—a
song from Delaney & Bonnie’s 1972 album “D&B Together”—as well as “Evil
Mama,” an original Bonamassa tune.
“They just jammed, and it’s so good,” Howard said on Tuesday
morning. “They got a great sound.”
Fred Norris, a self-proclaimed “huge” Bonamassa fan, agreed.
“[I’ve] known about him since he was 16 years old. He opened for B.B. King when
he was 12,” Fred explained.
