Beck Drops ‘Fix Me’ Music Video Starring a Japanese Baby and 3 Famous Poodles
Rocker and past Stern Show performer's new release also comes with an animal-friendly message
January 17, 2018Beck’s latest effort is an animal lover’s dream.
The rocker and past Stern Show performer has dropped a music video for “Fix Me,” a song off his latest album “Colors,” which focuses on a Japanese baby named Mame playing with three poodles. He also posted a Facebook note along with the video, encouraging fans to donate to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
The Brook Linder-directed video (above) shows Mame and her three pups—Riku, Gaku and Qoo—partaking in a variety of adorable activities, including dressing up like pumpkins, playing with toys, and even taking naps. This level of public exposure isn’t anything new for Mame and her poodles, however, as they already have their own Instagram account with nearly 250,000 followers.
“There’s a poetry to Mame and her gentle, loving poodle guardians in their serene world. It speaks to the sentiment of ‘Fix Me.’ Glad they were willing to be a part of the video,” Beck explained before asking his fans to “consider donating to ASPCA to help make a difference.”
Of course, not every video from Beck’s new album “Colors” has been serene. In September, he dropped a downright rowdy video for “Up All Night,” featuring a warrior woman in a magnetic suit of armor fighting her way through a house party.
