Low Cut Connie Releases ‘Oh Suzanne’ Music Video and Announces Fall Tour Dates
Rockers' recent efforts also include a “Baba Booey”-laden “Diamond Dogs” cover for the Howard Stern Tribute to David Bowie
July 17, 2018Low Cut Connie fans are in luck. The Philadelphia-based rock act just dropped the music video for their recent single “Oh Suzanne” and simultaneously announced new U.S. tour dates.
Directed by Remy Holwick and Tristan Wheeler, the low-fi styled video (above) features Low Cut Connie frontman and Wrap Up Show veteran Adam Weiner dancing around in a hotel room—sometimes in little more than a horse mask or his underwear—as he sings the lyrics to the short and snappy song hailing from the band’s critically acclaimed fifth album, “Dirty Pictures (Part 2),” released in May.
In addition to appearing several times on the Wrap Up Show, Weiner along with his band also contributed a cover of “Diamond Dogs” to the recent Howard Stern Tribute to David Bowie. There was more to Low Cut Connie’s homage than just a great rendition of Bowie’s 1974 tune, too. A back-up singer for the band—whose celebrity fans include everyone from Sir Elton John to President Barack Obama—also dropped in a “Baba Booey” bomb at around the 3:20 mark. Get more on their cover and Howard’s tribute here.
Low Cut Connie’s current U.S. tour grew considerably longer this week, too, as the band announced several new fall headlining gigs poised to keep the guys on the road through at least Nov. 18 when they play in Nashville. Check out their upcoming tour dates (below).
