VIDEO: McDonald’s Introduces New ‘Frork’ Utensil Made of French Fries
The limited edition items comes with the fast food chain's new Signature Crafted Recipes sandwiches
May 1, 2017McDonald’s has just changed the fast food game … again.
In a mock infomercial released Monday, legendary pitchman Anthony Sullivan plugs the fast food giant’s three new Signature Crafted Recipe sandwiches: Pico Guacamole, Sweet BBQ Bacon, and Maple Bacon Dijon.
A main feature of these sandwiches is their abundance of toppings. However, the real story comes from the way McDonald’s has chosen to combat the inevitable “topping dropping” from these concoctions—with “The Frork,” a new utensil made of french fries.
The design of the Frork allows McDonald’s patrons to scoop up every last drop of their Signature Crafted Recipe sandwiches and special sauces in the most appetizing way possible. “Will the Frork change your life? Probably not,” Sullivan says in the video. “Will the Frork improve your Signature Crafted Recipes eating experience? I mean, sure … maybe.”
Starting Friday, a limited supply of Frorks will be available with the purchase of any Signature Crafted Recipe sandwich.
“We started with All Day Breakfast, updated our Chicken McNuggets, offered new Mac sandwich sizes for every occasion and now we’re introducing Signature Crafted Recipes because they are inspired by our customers,” McDonald’s chef Michael Haracz said in a statement. “And while the Frork is supremely superfluous, it shows that McDonald’s is willing to do whatever it takes to help them enjoy every last bite.”
