Shia LaBeouf sports a headband and a hot temper in the first trailer for “Borg/McEnroe,” an upcoming Swedish film documenting the untold story behind one of the greatest tennis matches ever played.
LaBeouf plays John McEnroe, the fiery American superstar—and a 2002 Stern Show guest—who battled fellow legend Björn Borg (Sverrir Gudnasson) in the 1980 Wimbledon Finals. The minute-long teaser is packed with tension and features a melodramatic score with precious little dialogue. In fact, LaBeouf’s only line is him screaming at someone on the court.
“Borg/McEnroe,” co-starring Stellan Skarsgård (“The Avengers”) and directed by Janus Metz Pedersen, hits theaters this fall. Check out the trailer (below).
