AUDIO: Brian Wilson Drops New Surf-Rock Track ‘Run James Run’
Song hails from Beach Boys legend's upcoming “Playback” LP

Surf-rock pioneer Brian Wilson just shared a new single.
The music legend, Beach Boys co-founder, and past Stern Show guest released “Run James Run,” a surf-rock song from “Playback: The Brian Wilson Anthology,” an upcoming retrospective of his career as a solo artist.

Hitting shelves on Friday, the LP reportedly features live cuts, material from Wilson’s earlier solo albums, and two previously unreleased tracks: “Run James Run” and “Some Sweet Day,” a song he and longtime collaborator Andy Paley wrote back in the 1990s.
Additionally, Wilson continues to embark on his lengthy “Pet Sounds” tour, which he kicked off last year to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the legendary Beach Boys album “Pet Sounds.”
