Bobo receives a letter from the White House

While nary a day goes by that Bobo isn’t on hold with the Stern Show come 7 a.m. to talk to Howard, the frequent caller and superfan admitted Monday that he was recently forced to take a three-week break from the show and even went “dark” on social media to spend more time with his family.

Despite the fact the Stern Show was not live during two of those weeks, Bobo still struggled with the break from corresponding with his online friends and fellow fans. “I’m like a little kid. I’ll go on the phone for hours sometimes and I shouldn’t do that,” he admitted.

Many thought the social media hiatus may have served Bobo well considering he recently told Howard how he was forced to wear a disguise at Disney to avoid being “hounded” by fans after tweeting out his location.

The disguise, of course, was plastered in SiriusXM logos and even had his name embroidered on it. “Promote, promote, promote,” Bobo simply responded when confronted with the irony of his outfit.

In the end, Bobo remained away from social media from June 26 until July 8 when he returned early to pay tribute to the late Evil Dave Letterman.

Bobo did report he stayed busy during the past few weeks, following up his previous letter to President Trump with a second impassioned missive. This time, or possibly in response to his previous note, Bobo received a form letter from the White House thanking him for taking the time to write in.

Even though Bobo maintained he was not so “delusional” as to think he received a personal response, he did promise to treasure the letter as the president’s signature looked authentic to him.

“I will hang this on my wall in a gold frame among my other awards and accomplishments,” Bobo wrote to Stern Show Executive Producer Gary Dell’Abate. “Everything I have set out to do in life, I have succeeded,” he added.
