Howard is presented a prestigious award for the third year in a row
Good Morning Everybody!
Fred Norris played the show in with Don Henley‘s “The Boys of Summer” and Howard noticed that Robin Quivers was really rocking out to the tune as he looked over.
Howard also dug up more jingles from his WNBC days, courtesy of one of the show’s old engineers, and played a few for the audience.
While some featured the more traditional lyrics—”Howard Stern, 66 WNBC”—others proudly touted “Howard Stein” and “Harvey Stern.”
Howard explained that he vaguely remembered wanting to make jokes out of the jingles since he didn’t want to use them in the first place. “It was probably me just being embarrassed,” he said. “I felt bad for the jingle singers who had to sing my name,” Howard jokingly added.
