Oscars 2017: The Complete List of Nominees

Heavily nominated films at the Jimmy Kimmel-hosted ceremony include “La La Land,” “Fences,” and ”Manchester by the Sea”

Nominees for the 89th Academy Awards were announced Tuesday morning, with the musical “La La Land” earning a record-tying 14 nominations, including for Best Picture, Best Actress (Emma Stone), and Best Actor (Ryan Gosling).

A few other Best Picture nominees receiving multiple mentions overall include “Hell or High Water,” with Jeff Bridges nominated for Best Supporting Actor, “Fences,” which also scored nominations in the screenplay, Best Actor (Denzel Washington), and Supporting Actress (Viola Davis) categories, and “Manchester by the Sea,” which resulted in nominations for actors Michelle Williams, Casey Affleck, and Lucas Hedges.

In the Best Actress category, Meryl Streep (“Florence Foster Jenkins”) has extended her record by earning her 20th nomination. She’s up against Stone, Natalie Portman (“Jackie”), Ruth Negga (“Loving”), and Isabelle Huppert (“Elle”).

Meanwhile, Sting (“Jim: The James Foley Story”), Justin Timberlake (“Trolls”), and Pulitzer Prize winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Moana”) each received nominations in the Best Original Song category.

The 89th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, airs Sunday, Feb. 26 on ABC.
