March 14, 2017The Who announced on Monday that they signed on for a six-show residency in Las Vegas this summer. The microphone-swinging, windmilling, guitar-smashing mayhem will take place at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace starting July 29 and running through Aug. 11. Though only six concerts dates have currently been set, it’s being described as a“first run.”
Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey have been on an extended 50th anniversary tour with the Who since late 2014, notably appearing at Desert Trip in October 2016 alongside the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Roger Waters.
The Who will be the first rock band to ever play at the Colosseum at Caesars since the venue opened in 2003. Prior performers include Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Elton John, and Rod Stewart.
Tickets for the Las Vegas concert dates go on sale Friday. For more information check out the band’s Facebook announcement (below).
