James Corden Returning to Host 2018 Grammy Awards
Stern Show guest and “Late Late Show” host will emcee the ceremony for CBS on Jan. 28, 2018
May 18, 2017CBS announced Wednesday that, after a successful turn hosting the 2017 Grammy Awards, James Corden will return to host again next year.
The “Late Late Show” host will emcee the 60th rendition of the awards show on Jan. 28, 2018 at Madison Square Garden, marking the Grammys return to New York for the first time since 2003.
The TV star and recent Stern Show guest memorably brought his own brand of “Late Late Night” fun to February’s 2017 ceremony, which included a slapstick-filled opening number and his signature “Carpool Karaoke” segment with Jennifer Lopez, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, John Legend, Keith Urban, Beyonce, and more.
The news comes amidst a big year for Corden, who will also see “Carpool Karaoke” become its own spinoff series for Apple Music. Additionally, the 2018 Grammys will ve Corden’s third major hosting gig in an 18 month span, following the 70th Tony Awards in 2016 and 59th Grammys in 2017.
