VIDEO: Charlize Theron Embraces the Creepy and Kooky in First ‘Addams Family’ Teaser

Oscar winner Charlize Theron plays a different kind of monster in the first teaser for “The Addams Family,” an upcoming adaptation of the famed comic strip and TV show of the same name.
The award-winning “Monster” actress and 2017 Stern Show guest stars as matriarch Morticia Addams in the 3-D animated film, appearing opposite Oscar Isaac (“Star Wars: The Last Jedi”) as her husband Gomez, Chloë Grace Moretz (“Kick-Ass”) as their daughter Wednesday, Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things”) as their son Pugsley, and Nick Kroll (“Big Mouth”) as the infamous Uncle Fester.
The debut clip sees the peculiar Addams clan embracing all manner of morbid and potentially deadly hijinks—including torture devices, a legion of spiders, and a violent round of Battleship—while simultaneously gearing up for a macabre family function.
Directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, the duo behind Stern Show regular Seth Rogen’s raunchy animated comedy “Sausage Party,” the film also features Allison Janney as an adversarial reality TV host and Bette Midler as Grandmama.
“The Addams Family” moves into the neighborhood Oct. 11.
