VIDEO: Jim Carrey Deals With Haircuts, Dolls, and Ariana Grande in ‘Kidding’ Season 2 Trailer
Frank Langella, Judy Greer, and Catherine Keener co-star on the Showtime series, returning in November

Jim Carrey has a new doll, a fresh haircut, and more problems than ever in the Season 2 trailer for his dark Showtime dramedy “Kidding.”
The legendary actor and comedian once again stars as Jeff Pickles, a Mr. Rogers-esque children’s entertainer who struggled to keep any semblance of sanity on Season 1 after his family fell apart and he lost his beloved TV show, “Mr. Pickles’ Puppet Time.”
The frenetic Season 2 teaser sees Pickles at his wit’s end once again, thanks in part to a new line of dolls sharing his likeness and a scream-filled haircut at the hands of his sister Didi (Catherine Keener). The clip also features Jeff’s dad and executive producer (Frank Langella) bemoaning a penis-shaped puppet, his ex-wife Jill (Wrap Up Show guest Judy Greer) calling him a terrible father, multiple instances of Carrey’s character screaming at the top of his lungs—including when he shouts at a group of kids to stay away from drugs—and even a mysterious cameo from pop superstar Ariana Grande.
“Kidding” is created by Dave Holstein and produced by Carrey, fellow Stern Show veteran Jason Bateman, and Michel Gondry (“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”). When Jim joined the Stern Show in 2017, he opened up to Howard about a variety of subjects including his experiences producing another Showtime series called “I’m Dying Up Here.” Check out more from the interview here.
