2020 Academy Awards: Complete Winners List
“Parasite” has a big night at the 92nd Oscars
February 10, 2020Hollywood’s biggest night came and went on Sunday and several stars won the very first acting Oscars of their career, like Brad Pitt for his role in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and Laura Dern for “Marriage Story.”
The biggest story may have been South Korean director Bong Joon-ho and his film “Parasite” which won multiple awards, including Best Director, and made history in becoming the first foreign language film to win Best Picture.
The night’s other winners included Joaquin Phoenix for “Joker,” Renée Zellweger for “Judy,” Taika Waititi for his “Jojo Rabbit” screenplay, and even Barack and Michelle Obama whose production company Higher Ground produced “American Factory,” which took home the Best Documentary Feature Award.
Other highlights from the show included Grammy-winning Stern Show veterans Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell covering the Beatles’ “Yesterday” (above) for the In Memoriam portion of the ceremony, rapper Eminem performing “Lose Yourself,” and Elton John delivering a memorable rendition of “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again,” his tune from “Rocketman,” which wound up winning the Oscar for Best Original Song.
