AUDIO: Billie Eilish Drops ‘No Time to Die,’ Her Theme Song for the New James Bond Movie
Release follows the Stern Show veteran’s impressive performance at last month’s Grammy awards
February 14, 2020The 25th James Bond movie just unveiled its theme song, courtesy of recent Stern Show guest and Grammy winner Billie Eilish.
The 18-year-old singer-songwriter has released the titular tune from “No Time to Die,” the Bond franchise’s April installment which sees Daniel Craig once again reprising his role as the film and literature’s most famous martini-drinking super-spy.
Eilish is one of several big-named stars who’ve recorded different James Bond themes over the years. Other artists lending their voices and material to the franchise since Craig took over in 2006 include Adele, Sam Smith, Jack White, Alicia Keys, and late grunge legend Chris Cornell.
Co-written by Billie and her brother Finneas O’Connell, “No Time to Die” has already racked up several millions of views in its first 24 hours on YouTube. It’s her first new release since sweeping all the major categories at the 2020 Grammy Awards in January. As Stern Show listeners will remember, Billie and Finneas gave Howard a peek at their song-writing process during their debut last September. Watch them team up with the King of All Media to craft a song about sleep paralysis (below).
“No Time to Die” opens April 20.
