Ray Romano co-stars in the dark comedy, arriving April 25 on HBO

Stern Show veteran Hugh Jackman and “Private Parts” actress Allison Janney find themselves neck-deep in a massive cover-up in the official trailer for “Bad Education,” HBO’s upcoming dark comedy based on the real-life embezzlement scheme that rocked a Long Island school district in the mid-2000s.
Jackman stars as superintendent Dr. Frank Tassone, who was credited with helping Roslyn School District become one of the best in the country before a student reporter’s budget investigation sent everything crashing down.
“If this scandal gets out, we will lose everything,” the Oscar-nominated actor declares in the clip (above).
Hugh’s administrator is flanked by Pam Gluckin (Janney), the district’s sociopathic-seeming assistant superintendent who spends much of the trailer pretending to cry or denying Jackman a bite of her sandwich. “Some people will do the most horrible things,” Jackman admits with an eyebrow shrug.
“Bad Education,” directed by Cory Finley and written by Mike Makowsky, first premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2019. The film co-stars Ray Romano (“The Irishman”) and Geraldine Viswanathan (“Blockers”).
