VIDEO: Jason Bateman Sees the Light at the End of the Money-Laundering Tunnel in ‘Ozark’ Season 4 Trailer
Stern Show guest’s Emmy-winning crime drama returns to Netflix on Jan. 21
January 6, 2022Freedom from the cartel is in reach for financial advisor turned money launderer Marty Byrde in the official trailer for “Ozark” Season 4 Part 1, but first he’ll have to figure out how to deal with his 14-year-old son who started laundering money for a rival drug crew.
The trailer for the first half of Netflix’s award-winning crime drama’s fourth and final season begins with Marty (Jason Bateman) and his wife Wendy (Laura Linney) receiving good news from Omar Navarro (Felix Solis), a drug kingpin who holds the family’s fate in the palm of his hand. He’s willing to let them go free if they’d only just do him one last favor in the Ozarks. The favor proves easier said than done, however, thanks to an overzealous F.B.I. agent (Jessica Frances Dukes) breathing down the family’s neck and competition from local heroin distributors, led by Ruth (Julia Garner), who are dead set on recruiting the Byrde’s own gifted son to help them clean their money.
“Ozark’s” 14-episode final season is split into two halves, with the first seven episodes debuting later this month on and the second half expected to air sometime in 2022. Last airing in 2020, the Bateman-produced series has already amassed over 30 Emmy nominations.
“Ozark” Season 4, Part 1 debuts Jan. 21 on Netflix.
