VIDEO: Howard Shares a Mel B and Howie Mandel Story From His ‘America’s Got Talent’ Days
Throwback anecdote arrives on the heels of big news of Heidi Klum leaving the reality show

There was a major shake-up at “America’s Got Talent” earlier this month with fashion icon and longtime “AGT” judge Heidi Klum saying “Auf Wiedersehen” to the show and Spice Girl and former judge Mel B taking her place. After hearing the news on Monday, Howard shared a behind-the-scenes anecdote from his own days on the show which involved him, Mel B, their colleague Howie Mandel, and a private jet.
“There was trouble in paradise,” Howard laughed, explaining that Howie used to let Mel B hitch a ride on his jet but quickly lived to regret it as she kept causing him to be late. That’s when Howard stepped in and asked the “Say You’ll Be There” singer to say she’d be there on time from now on.
