Adrien Brody set a record at the Oscars on Sunday night after winning the best actor award for his performance in the moving period drama “The Brutalist.” Upon accepting the statue — his second — the movie star delivered a five minute and 36 second acceptance speech, reportedly the longest in Academy Awards history.

Not everyone was thrilled with Brody’s lengthy remarks, but on Tuesday morning Howard told listeners he enjoyed the speech: “I liked it!” he said. “From what I remember I was kind of moved by his speech … I thought it was from the heart.”

“If I would’ve been fortunate enough to have won for [‘Private Parts’] — I’ll be honest, I would’ve spoken for five hours,” he added with a laugh.
