Movie star Val Kilmer, known for his portrayal of everyone from Doc Holliday and Jim Morrison to the Batman, died this week of pneumonia. On Wednesday morning, Howard and co-host Robin Quivers paid a fitting tribute to the beloved actor, celebrating his many Hollywood accomplishments and fondly remembering some of his most lauded roles.

“He was in a lot of cool movies,” Howard told listeners before naming “Real Genius” and “Top Gun” as two of his favorites.

“I loved him as Jim Morrison,” Robin added of Kilmer before waxing poetic about some of his other star-making qualities. “He was one of those perfect-looking people. He had a manly jaw, but he was beautiful,” she said.

Kilmer, who also starred in blockbusters like “Heat,” “Tombstone,” “Batman Forever,” and “Top Gun: Maverick,” was 65.
