Joe Quesada, editor-in-chief of Marvel comics, called in to defend his decision to divorce Spiderman/Peter Parker from Mary Jane, noting that Peter works better as a single character. Joe said Mary Jane will still be around, and explained how the evil Mephisto changed history so there was still a Peter-and-Mary Jane wedding date, but now, no wedding. Joe added that all will be explained and resolved in the upcoming “Spiderman” storylines. Jason then came in to request that Joe just kill off Aunt May next time.
