Howard’s 2-Drinks-a-Week Limit

Early in the show, Howard said his liver test results came back and alarmed his doctor, who panicked: “‘It’s a strange organ,’ he said, ‘And it’s probably just best that you have one or two drinks a week.'” Howard said he didn’t know if he could cut back that much: “Maybe I’ll switch to pot. I have to do something. I have to have some fun.” He’ll likely ignore the 2 drink maximum and just carefully moderate his drinking: “I don’t really need to drink but, you know, I do enjoy it. And I think I do it responsibly.” Robin seemed perturbed by the story: “I’d like to have a talk with you after the show. Not about your drinking. Just to have a talk.” Howard said he wasn’t in the mood for an intervention–much less a conversation: “Do me a favor. Don’t bother me after the show. Give me a call.” Robin laughed off the rejection and slipped through the open door: “I’ll call you.”
