At the top of the show, Howard announced that Robin was out (with a planned absence) and Gary and Jon Hein were sitting in: “Ronnie and JD were going to sit in but they’re busy. They have shows to perform.” But the staff took very few hits today–only Jason got it bad: “I don’t think he should talk that much about his pot use and I think he should cut down on it.” Asked if he was an addict, Jason balked: “I do like having something [after work], whether it’s a drink or a smoke. But I don’t drink, because I smoke.” Jason estimated his consumption at a half-blunt a night, a $400/mo habit. (Quitting would save him almost $5,000 a year.) Howard challenged Jason to quit for a month, a challenge Jason begrudgingly accepted: “I just had a mental image of the half-blunt that’s waiting for me at home.”
