Richard Christy Makes a Cameo in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’

“Guardians of the Galaxy 2” has hit theaters with a cast featuring major stars like Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and even a cameo by the Stern Show’s own Richard Christy.

“I’m a ravager. It’s awesome!” he told Howard Monday morning. “I have a line, too,” he added, revealing that his character yells: “Down there!”

Director James Gunn tweeted on Friday, explaining his decision to put Richard in the film: “10 years ago I heard @cwotd get his privates waxed on @sternshow & had to pull over from laughing. I knew then I needed to put him in a film.”

While the scene only took a day to film, the role required a good deal of makeup and Richard was excited to report that he got to sit next to legendary actor Kurt Russell in the makeup trailer.
