Ronnie the Limo Driver attends the premiere of “The Week Of”
Good Morning Everybody!
After months of anticipation, the world finally witnessed Ronnie “the Limo Driver” Mund’s Netflix debut with the release of Adam Sandler’s “The Week Of,” which co-stars Chris Rock and Steve Buscemi.
Back in August, Ronnie spent a day on set filming under the direction of Robert Smigel for his one-word cameo, which included an extra scene of “silent comedy” where he pretended to sleep. Moreover, as Smigel himself revealed on the Wrap Up Show prior to the film’s release, Ronnie is “actually referenced in the movie several times before you see him.”
On Monday, Ronnie explained that after much deliberation, he decided to attend the star-studded premiere of the film despite feeling a little “weird” about his small role.
Overcoming the last-minute nerves, Ronnie spent the evening rubbing elbows with the likes of Sandler, Rock, Buscemi, and David Spade as well as sports radio icon and Stern Show superfan Dan Patrick, who also made a cameo in the movie.
Moreover, Ronnie revealed he even received an apology at the event. As Shuli Egar originally reported, when Ronnie arrived on set to film his scene, the check-in woman had an issue finding his name on the list. Ronnie proceeded to bark only his last name at her until Shuli clarified that he was “Ronnie the Limo Driver.”
“That girl came up to me and apologized to me,” Ronnie told Howard, though. “She said, ‘I’m sorry I couldn’t find your name.'”
Check out Ronnie’s one-word, multi-scene cameo in “The Week Of,” streaming on Netflix now.
