Howard’s interview with Dave Matthews on Monday morning was
made even more memorable with the singer-songwriter performing an acoustic
concert live on the Stern Show. Dave Matthews Band has scored several hits over
the years but perhaps none more iconic than 1996’s “Crash Into Me.” Check out
Dave playing an acoustic performance of the song (above).
Dave also treated Howard to a cover of Procol Harum’s classic
tune “A White Shade of Pale.” See video of that performance (below).
Finally, Dave did a solo rendition of his band’s new single “Samurai
Cop (Oh Joy Begin)” off their new album “Come Tomorrow.” Before breaking
into the song, Dave told Howard how he borrowed its title from a cult classic
film he saw while working in the recording studio. “It could not be less about
a samurai cop,” he explained of the song. Watch him perform “Samurai
Cop (Oh Joy Begin)” in the video (below).
