Good Morning Everybody!

The world mourned the passing of two iconic figures last week with the funerals of Aretha Franklin and John McCain. On Tuesday, Howard remembered both the Queen of Soul and the late senator from Arizona.

Howard recalled meeting McCain a few years ago at a fundraiser and being struck by what it was like to talk with a “real American hero.”

John’s daughter Meghan also appeared on the Stern Show in 2014 and talked to Howard all about her father, including his 2008 run for the nation’s highest office.

Howard also marked the passing of Robin Leach on Tuesday, who was an 18-time Stern Show guest and longtime host of “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.”

Robin passed away at 76 in late August and eerily once offhandedly predicted that as the age he’d live to during a conversation with Howard. Hear it (below).
