Howard shares Dr. David Price's coronavirus tips from his new home studio

March 30, 2020

Good Morning Everybody!

For the second week in a row, Howard and his Stern Show staff are broadcasting from home in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic by practicing self-quarantining. This week, the King of All Media hit the airwaves from his newly constructed basement studio. “I spent three hours setting this up,” he revealed, adding, “I appreciate our engineering staff more than ever.”

He also extended his thanks to his tireless wife Beth Stern, who meticulously cleaned everything in the studio before Howard assembled it. “Beth came down here and actually Cloroxed every bit of the equipment,” he said.

As it turned out, Beth wore a hazmat suit to get the job done. She later shared a photo of herself in the outfit on Instagram. “Me in hazmat suit before I sanitized Howard’s new basement studio. Yes, I’m wearing a high ponytail. 😊 (we had this one hazmat suit),” Beth wrote in a caption accompanying the photo.

“I think they need this at hospitals,” co-host Robin Quivers laughed. “They should raid your home and take these things from you.”

Jokes aside, Howard reminded listeners the COVID-19 pandemic is no laughing matter. He said he’s doing everything he can right now to lessen his chances of contracting the virus, from scrubbing his hands and abstaining from touching his face to wiping down bananas with disinfectant wipes before peeling and eating them.

“This is how I’m thinking because I’m trying to follow all the rules,” he said, explaining he got many of his tips from a recent viral video (above) in which Dr. David Price of Weill Cornell Medical Center discusses protecting one’s family from the potentially deadly contagion.

“Watch his video,” Howard told his listeners. “I’m telling you, it will liberate you.”
