Robin Quivers Set to Host Online Concert With Classical Pianist and Friend Simone Dinnerstein
“I love that she’s always up to culture – such a lady,” Howard says of his longtime co-host
Robin Quivers – possibly the most celebrated singer on the Stern Show – is hosting a night of music performed by classical pianist and friend Simone Dinnerstein. “I love that she’s always up to culture – such a lady,” Howard said Tuesday of his co-host after announcing next month’s event, which will include pieces by celebrated composer Philip Glass.
Strictly taking hosting duties despite Howard’s insistence on demonstrating her vocal range as part of the show, Robin had nothing but high praise for Simone. “That’s one person with 10 fingers playing all those notes,” she said over an audio track of the artist’s music. “She’s such an incredible talent, she’s a gift.”
Despite Simone’s musical gifts, the pianist didn’t quite make the cut when Howard asked Robin if she’d save her or Fred Norris. “I’ve got to think of the show,” Robin noted of the difficult choice. “She’s not going to come here and work puppets.”
