Bobo Claims He’s Hung Out With Fred Norris in the Past
“I hung out with him like people hang out with people on New Year’s Eve in Times Square,” Howard’s longtime colleague says in response
What exactly does “hanging out” mean?
That was the question Wednesday when frequent caller Bobo claimed to have spent time on numerous occasions with Howard’s longtime colleague, Fred Norris. “I remember Fred years ago [on] his Triumph motorcycle – I hung out with him,” Bobo said during a conversation about motorcycle riding.
“I was somewhere and he sort of stalked me,” Fred clarified in response. “We weren’t hanging out, Bobo just kind of showed up.”
When Bobo brought up another instance of walking to a 7-Eleven after one of Fred’s band gigs, the frontman was quick to set the record straight a second time. “Again, I was out playing somewhere and you stalked me,” Fred said to Bobo with a laugh. “I hung out with him like people hang out with people on New Year’s Eve in Times Square.”
Still, when Bobo declared his fandom of Fred, the latter did return the compliment. “I’m a fan of you too, Bobo,” he said before jokingly adding, “especially when you crash into trucks with your Cougar.”
