Ronnie ‘the Limo Driver’ Mund Still Believes Mike Pearlman Tampered With His Bagel
“He could never look me straight in the eye and tell me that he didn’t do it,” he says of Stern Show staffer regarding 2019 incident
It’s been over two years and, although he can’t prove it, Ronnie “the Limo Driver” Mund is convinced Stern Show staffer Mike Pearlman tampered with his bagel back in 2019. On Tuesday morning, Pearlman continued to insist he was innocent of all charges. “Absolutely not,” the staffer told Howard when asked again if he did it. “Where we work, that’s probably the worst offense you could do—messing with someone’s food … I wouldn’t want to do that to him.”
Mike went on to offer his own theory as to what might have occurred to Ronnie’s bagel that day. “What I think happened was … he put the napkin on and that’s all he did,” he said, suggesting Ronnie unknowingly broke his own usual routine. “He didn’t do the whole process of wrapping it up.”
“I believe you,” Howard responded. “I think Ronnie had a slip. I think he forgot to paper towel his bagel.”
Ronnie, on the other hand, wasn’t buying it. “I call bullshit … He could never look me straight in the eye and tell me that he didn’t do it … That’s the first sign of somebody lying,” he said angrily before noting Mike was around during the time of the alleged crime. “This motherfucker would come down and study my routine … He was standing in the room when I left the room. Alone, nobody else … nobody.”
Though they didn’t want to come forward publicly, at least two staffers believed Ronnie and JD Harmeyer read their statements. “’I remember Pearlman coming off as very suspicious that morning. No solid evidence, just came off as the guy who got caught doing something stupid and trying to cover up a mistake,’” JD read from one note before moving on to the other. “‘Zero evidence, I just think he did … it’s the kind of mind game Pearlman would play.’”
“I don’t care who did what to whose bagel, I just want JD to deliver messages for a whole show,” Howard joked after his staffer stumbled through the written statements.
